Written by Jennifer Corson and published by Chelsea Green Publishing Co., the 250-page paperback includes information about the value of salvageable building materials -- of interest during demolition in old buildings -- and the costs to replace them. It also offers dozens of ideas for nontraditional uses of salvaged materials, such as making a table from an old iron grate and or using an old window as a kitchen pot rack.
