New Trend in Dimmer Switches

I discovered this neat, new dimmer at a recent trade show. Debuting this Fall from Lutron, the Vierti™ wall dimmer isn’t your typical wall dimmer control. It has a sleek, streamlined look and the controls make you feel like you’re already living in the future.Your finger acts as the slider on the Vierti™ design so there are no knobs, toggles or switches, making for a very clean look. You can also touch it at single points for more precision. You won’t have to fumble in the dark for this switch; on and off status indicators show you where it is. This dimmer is highly customizable with three different LED color schemes available and nineteen different finishes for the wall plate.
This dimmer may be signaling a new trend. Sleek, touch-less lighting switches will start appearing in high-end constructions and should eventually become the go-to option for modern and contemporary interiors.
Try the interactive demo on the Lutron website to get the full effect.
There’s no pricing yet available, but I’m assuming that this product will debut at the high-end. Contact LAMPS PLUS Professionals for more information on availability.
