The Gambler

Why does a gambler keep gambling?
An easy question … with an easy answer. Gamblers keep gambling because they always believe that they are going to “hit it big” on the very next draw. And if they don’t … it doesn’t matter, because they still believe it’s going to happen. And that leads me to my next question:
Why do home shoppers keep shopping?
Again, an easy question … with an easy answer. Home shoppers keep shopping because they always believe that they are going to “hit it big” at the very next model home complex. In other words, customers always believe that they are going to find a better deal around the next corner.
When customers always believe that they are going to find a better deal, they lose focus on their decision. That means it’s up to you to help them define what a perfect decision “looks like” to them … and then show them “proof” that your product is a match. It’s your best alternative in today’s market.

Customers have always believed that a better deal is right around the corner. In a market like todays this is magnified ten fold. Many are looking for not only the best deal but the "bottom". Ask them where the top was. If they are really looking for a place to live and experience the best life possible, does it really matter? So what if they miss the "bottom" by 3%. By waiting they may miss it by 5% on the up side. Get to know your buyer, be sure that yours is the best community for their needs and help them live the best life possible.
