Mitsubishi’s Mr. Slim is In

Keeping Old Man Winter out are the latest Mr. Slim models. Sporting an ultra-trim profile, these split-ductless units from Mitsubishi Electric’s HVAC Advanced Products Division have a four-way, ceiling-recessed cassette with a wider air stream. Translation: the fan does not work as hard to produce air coverage or individual vane control.
The optional “i-see” Sensor Corner Panel kit includes a sensor built into the model’s corner panel. The panel rotates 360 degrees and measures the infrared radiation, a.k.a. heat, generated from the surrounding wall and floor surfaces, computes radiant energy and then converts it into temperature value to create a more comfortable environment near the floor, close to occupants. Warm air rises, after all, and there’s nothing like stepping on a cold floor in the middle of winter, is there?
A high-efficiency filter, wireless signal receiver, and an air outlet shutter plate are also available.
