I haven’t been able to post much these past few days, and for that, loyal readers, I apologize. I’ve been a bit under the weather and I’m just trying to get healthy for next weeks’ battle: The International Builder’s Show.

You know what the first thing I thought of when I attended IBS for the first time last year?

Welcome to the Thunderdome.

Despite the housing slump and a dip in registration this year, rest assured you’ll find hundreds upon thousands of products from manufacturers gargantuan and small alike. Pay attention to what’s going around you at the show. I think it’s a safe bet you’ll notice a few trends—I’m not exactly going out on a limb in saying all things “green” will continue in prevalence.

I actually have an assignment for all you: take notes, put your ear to the ground, and report back to me. Seriously. Tell me everything about the show: what it was like getting there, what you did, who you were with, what you saw; what you liked; what you hated—I want it all and I’ll publish it all.

For now, I’ll be hunkering down, getting healthy and making last-minute appointments and such, so there’s not much room for blogging. I will say this: it’s going to be crazy.
