Non-Penetrating Satellite Dish Mount Hits Roofers

Thanks to the explosive growth of both satellite TV and HDTV, there are now lots of DIY-ers and professionals clambering up ladders to drive nails into roofs to install new satellite dishes. Although the 18-inch (or around there) dishes don’t weigh much or require a whole lot of penetration to be installed, there is still potential for leakage and air infiltration problems. For a non-invasive solution, PRM has a kit for you. “The PRM-1 can accommodate up to an 18-inch DBS/DSS antenna and comes with a pitch pad kit, or can hold up to ten 8-inch x 8-inch x 16-inch standard concrete blocks for ballast. Its heavy duty steel construction and dark grey weather-resistant powder coat finish provides strength and durability for lasting reliability and peace-of-mind,” explains Keith Fulmer, president of Video Mount Products.
The PRM-1 will be available shortly and according to the company has an MSRP of $94.95.
