| Distressed natural materials such as copper, wood and stone give this European cottage-style residence a distinctive, aged appearance that promises to become more beautiful over time. Appropriately called The Vacation House, it is located in The South Shore Club, a maintenance-free development of 40 upscale secondary residences. This lakefront community was designed to attract families from Chicago, an easy commute away. The Vacation House has four levels of living space, including a finished basement, and can accommodate several families comfortably for extended stays. The floor plan contributes to an informal, relaxed environment for escape or entertaining. Living space is open and inviting and faces the lake to maximize views.
