Working within limitations provides opportunity for creativity. Located on a tight, steep site in a ski community, this unit is one of three duplexes and two single-family homes tied together by Yellowstone-type architecture on the outside but customized on the inside. The timbers-and-stone veneer on the exterior continues on the interior with natural moss-rock fireplaces, exposed trusses and log work. The main living level is flexible with open spaces. The upper level contains the master suite and one bedroom. Three bedrooms and a game room are on the lower ski-out level. The basic plan was customized and personalized before construction. Modifications included moving interior walls and bumping out the lower level.
