Cleaner lines and a dominant use of stone, copper and glass define contemporary Southwest design, architect Terry Kilbane says. In this desert home, views and natural materials create a flow of living space unimpeded by the arbitrary lines of a floor plan. The interior and exterior are designed to look and live as one, builder Jim Manship says. The home is surrounded byunobstructed views of a golf course, mountains and sunsets. It is a study in extremes, from complete privacy to lavish entertaining and from the modern use of ancient materials to the technology of complete automation.
