The Keys at Harbour Island is a 35-unit development of attached homes on the last parcel of land available for development in a waterfront location less than a mile from downtown Tampa. The design goal for the infill project was to create an upscale neighborhood with the character of Key West. The attached home design offsets the high land costs and gives local professionals the opportunity for homeownership. Both plans available feature interesting details and amenities that establish an overall character for the community. Every home has windows on all sides, a two-car garage, and front and rear balconies on the main and upper levels. The porches provide a buffer between homes, a transition space between public and private areas, and fantastic views. The site plan for The Keys allows as many homes as possible to have a view of Tampa Bay. Residences not facing the water offered a functional widow's walk as an option. The project's creative design, community character and proximity to the city center contributed significantly to its overwhelming success - The Keys sold out in 16 months, with an average sales rate of 2.18 units per month.
