| The heart of this luxurious vacation retreat is the open great room/sitting area/kitchen, where friends and family can congregate. The kitchen, designed for a client who loves to cook, features a functional work area finished with durable materials. A sleek stainless steel range hood takes center stage. This same finish was selected for the rest of the appliances. The cabinetry's warm cherry tones provide the perfect complement to the "cool" stainless steel appliances. The glass-paneled cabinets feature Arts & Crafts-style doors and custom display lighting inside. Stained-glass transom windows were incorporated at a 12-foot height into the walls. The windows not only are striking visual elements, but they also permit natural sunlight to enter this interior space while blocking noise from the living room. Decorative tiles are inset into the backsplashes and the fascia of the snack bar. | |||||
