Trus Joist

trus joistTimberStrand® laminated strand lumber (LSL) is a technological breakthrough that allows Trus Joist to engineer high-performance structural composite beams that are stronger, straighter and truer than sawn lumber. TimberStrand LSL can span much longer distances and support heavier loads than sawn lumber or built-up beams.

TimberStrand LSL is a single-piece member that replaces the built-up marriage ridge beams of the past. TimberStrand LSL allows the manufacturer to save time and money by utilizing a single-piece, ready-to-install beam rather than having to build up a time-consuming and costly built-up beam.

TimberStrand LSL columns are made from the same material as marriage ridge beams but are used as vertical members. TimberStrand LSL columns are excellent substitutes for common built-up 2x3 columns. With TimberStrand LSL one-piece columns, you will never have to build those time-consuming and tedious 2x3 columns.

TimberStrand LSL 1.7E is available in a variety of depths to meet the needs of all roof types, spans and loads. Contact your Trus Joist Factory Built representative for more information at 800/540-5004, or visit our Web site, www.trusjoist.com.
