Tool Launched for Railing and Deck Design and Estimates
CertainTeed's software facilitates the creation of deck and railing designs, material lists and cost estimates
Through a partnership with Cad Quest™, CertainTeed Corporation now offers software for building industry professionals that can help create more authentic designs, more accurate material lists and cost estimates.
The software, which has been customized for use with CertainTeed products, combines computer-aided design (CAD) with photo imaging to produce realistic, 3D versions of railing and deck projects. The software also produces a customized material list so professionals can provide up-front, accurate estimates to their customers. CertainTeed is providing the software to customers in CD format through the company’s Master Craftsman program for railing and deck.
“Ultimately, we are helping railing and deck professionals provide the best service possible to their customers,” says Patti Pellock, Senior Marketing Manager for CertainTeed's Fence, Railing and Deck Business. “The Cad Quest railing and decking software is a valuable tool that saves time, reduces mistakes, and can help increase sales.”
Through CertainTeed’s Master Craftsman program, building professionals gain a comprehensive understanding of product installation through advanced education and training. Upon completion of required courses, participants receive a personalized certificate of completion, are included in CertainTeed’s online company directory, and gain access to the Master Craftsman website.
