Self-leveling products have a large surface-to-volume ratio, so they are prone to shrinking, cracking, curling and delamination. ProSpec/Bonsal American's EST is an additive designed to reduce the chance something will go awry. It works by controlling the pre-cure chemical and physical reactions during the underlayment's plastic stage where up to 80 percent of shrinkage occurs.
