September 18, 2009

Kenner, La. – The Southern Pine Council recently launched a new online continuing education class for building professionals looking to learn more about Southern Pine specialty products.
“This class answers a big need for building professionals,” said Russell Richardson, SFPA’s director of industrial markets. “Educating end-user audiences about applications for specialty products will surely grow demand, plus it’s a solid complement to our already strong continuing education program.”
Designed to educate builders, remodelers, architects and other design/building professionals about the various applications for Southern Pine specialty products, the class provides information on flooring, siding, paneling, trim and molding. Topics discussed include environmental attributes, proper handling and storage and porch flooring applications. The class has been approved for accreditation by the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
To take the new e-class, visit www.southernpine.com, click on the education link, then choose e-classroom. The class is free of charge. For more information on the new specialty products e-class, please contact Richardson at rrichardson@sfpa.org or 504.443.4464, x239.
