Debuted at the 2009 International Builders' Show, Serious Materials' EcoRock green drywall uses 80 percent less energy in its production than most other drywall. EcoRock also uses 85 percent post-industrial recycled content and is fully recyclable. According to the company, using EcoRock instead of gypsum drywall would eliminate up to 20 billion pounds of CO2 emissions per year in North America.
