July 16, 2009
Denver, CO, July 14, 2009 – ProBuild Holdings, the nation’s largest supplier of building materials to professional contractors, announced the opening of its newest facility in Hampshire, Illinois located outside of Chicago. The 23-acre facility features a full service lumberyard as well as truss and wall panel manufacturing capabilities. The Hampshire facility will serve both residential and commercial contractors and supports ProBuild’s strategy to aggressively build out its national footprint by enhancing existing market coverage to better service its customers.
“Chicago is an important market in ProBuild’s overall business strategy,” explained Lonnie Bernardoni, ProBuild Senior Vice President, Manufacturing. “This new location provides superior positioning to better service our customers in the region. It is an exceptional facility that strengthens our access to key markets.”
In addition to the Hampshire location, ProBuild has taken lease positions on two other locations in the area. “The greater Chicago area is a very strategic market for ProBuild,” said Joseph Todd, ProBuild Northeast Regional President. “Investing now will ensure that we are well positioned throughout the area as market conditions improve.”
The Hampshire facility is leased from the Seigle family which has roots to the lumber business since 1881. “I am extremely excited to be partnering with an organization of ProBuild’s caliber,” said Mark Seigle. “We hope for its continued success in the Chicago market.”
