Moen Meets WaterSense Criteria
Moen Meets WaterSense Criteria
January 27, 2009
Olmsted, Ohio . . . Moen, the number one faucet brand in North America, is taking its commitment to water efficiency one step further. As of January 1, 2009, all of Moen’s wholesale lavatory faucets are now certified to meet WaterSense® labeling criteria. This certification applies to more than 20 lines available at showrooms and wholesale locations within the Moen®, ShowHouse® by Moen and the Cleveland Faucet Group® brands.
“Since 2007, Moen has voluntarily partnered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WaterSense program to help consumers save water for future generations and reduce costs on their utility bills,” said Kathy Flinn, Moen director, advertising & brand. “Our Rothbury™ faucet was one of the industry’s first to earn the WaterSense label and we’re happy to offer water-saving benefits along with the same great performance, style and reliability you’ve come to expect from Moen products.”
All Moen wholesale lavatory faucets are designed to help environmentally conscious developers, builders and plumbers optimize water flow without sacrificing performance, and feature a 1.5 gallon per minute (gpm) flow rate versus the industry standard of 2.2 gpm. The result is water conservation of up to 32 percent. Specific collections certified to meet WaterSense labeling criteria include:
· Moen: Brantford™, Chateau®, Eva®, Icon™, Kingsley®, Level™, Monticello®, Rothbury, Vestige®, Villeta®
· ShowHouse by Moen: Bamboo®, Casa®, Destiny®, Divine™, Felicity™, Fina™, Mannerly®, Organic™, Savvy®, Solace®, Vivid®, Waterhill®
· Cleveland Faucet Group: Capstone™, Cornerstone®, Flagstone®
WaterSense aims to decrease indoor and outdoor water use through water-efficient products and simple, water-saving practices. The program encourages customers to look for WaterSense-labeled products, which have been independently certified for efficiency and performance, and promotes water-saving techniques that reduce stress on water systems and the environment.
WaterSense-labeled products must meet the EPA’s criteria for efficiency and performance. Independently tested and certified products may bear the WaterSense label, which makes it easy for consumers to identify and select a variety of quality, water-efficient products for their homes and lawns.
