Johns Mansville

November 30, 2001

EasyFit fiberglass insulation from Johns Manville features unfaced batts in 15-inch widths with vertical perforations that let installers custom-fit nonstandard-width wall cavities by separating sections to fit instead of cutting the batt with a knife. Once familiar with the product, installers can eyeball where to separate a batt and tear it to fit while walking to the next cavity, reducing the need to measure, the company says. The unfaced batts are available now, and kraft-faced EasyFit batts are scheduled to be available in early 2002.
