Introducing the Shake XD from Decra

Shake XD has a unique hidden fastening system that requires no special tools. The stone-coated shakes install directly to the roof deck
August 20, 2009

Decra’s new Shake XD splices the best of metal and asphalt roofs together—the new shakes are made from stone-coated steel for extra durability. The bundles have only 23.4 pieces per square and feature the company’s "Cut & Tuck" technology. This allows the panels to be cut using standard tools and to fit into the roofing components without a hassle. The Shake XD panels are walkable and will not crack, split, curl or break like traditional wood shakes.
