Icynene

June 30, 2002

Icynene insulation foam is water-based and contains no formaldehyde, CFCs or HCFCs. In retrofit applications, the product is poured into existing wall cavities and expands, adhering to building components and sealing joints, crevices and gaps to prevent air infiltration. Icynene repels water and has an R-value of 3.6 per inch, the company says. It must be installed by a licensed dealer.
