Get Cozy with Danfoss' Insulation Plates for Under Laminate and Engineered Flooring

Danfoss’ Reflect can be installed under a radiant-heat wooden laminate floor system to give off heat in a gentle and controlled manner
October 5, 2009

Forget all the laying, leveling and setting cement. If your clients want a radiant floor underneath their laminate, simply lay the insulating heat distribution plates on the existing floor, press the heating cable into place, lay the wooden floor directly on top, connect the thermostat, and turn on the heat. The insulating subfloor and a heat-conducting surface ensures optimum heat reflection upwards.

The Reflect consists of a ½-inch polystyrene plate covered with a 1/32-inch aluminum plate with a special profile. Depending on the desired effect, the heating cable is installed in each, every second or third cable groove.
