FloodPro Series Clear Tannin Guard, a water-clear, penetrating pre-stain conditioner for exterior wood, is designed to prevent discoloration of the finish from tannin bleed without covering up and filling in the aesthetic characteristics of the wood. Clear Tannin Guard is water-thin and can be applied with a garden sprayer. It dries in two to four hours, the company says, allowing same-day finishing. One gallon of the product can cover 200 to 400 square feet, depending on the type of surface.
