Deck planks can be tough to get through with traditional deck building products. Make your life easier with Simpson Strong-Tie’s new DHPD deck screw. The screw’s paddle-style drill point lets you skip pre-drilling and prevents you from splitting the hardwood. The screw is able to counter-bore hard material because of its reinforced mid-wings that allow the compact head of the screw to countersink into deck boards for a clean, less-noticeable finish.
Use these with the company’s Quik Drive auto-feed screw fastening system (shown here).
