Delta-FL underlayment and inter-locking laminate flooring is designed to protect against moisture that wicks up though concrete in basements or houses built on slabs. It consists of a semi-rigid polyethylene plastic with dimples 5/16 inch deep. When air in these spaces is saturated with moisture, water pressure above and below the concrete slab is equalized, and moisture no longer rises through the concrete from the ground below.
