Installed in the Show Village Home 2001 built by D.R. Horton is high-quality fiber glass insulation from CertainTeed Corp. -- a firm strongly committed to providing quality building products to the homebuilding industry. All CertainTeed insulation plants are ISO 9002 registered.For residential applications, CertainTeed standard fiber glass batts and rolls are available both unfaced and kraft faced. High-performance sidewall batts, a higher density insulation, are available to provide higher R-values (3-1/2" thick R-15 for 2" x 4" construction; 5-1/2" thick R-21 for 2" x 6" construction). And for cathedral ceiling applications, 8-1/4" thick R-30 and 10" thick R-38.

The company also offers NoiseReducer® Sound Control Batts, ideal for areas such as in-home offices, master bedroom suites, entertainment rooms, kitchens, baths and utility rooms to reduce sound produced by office or entertainment equipment, and plumbing systems. CertainTeed's ToughGard™ Duct Board helps reduce sound in HVAC systems.

When blown-in insulation is desired, CertainTeed offers InsulSafe® 4, the world's premier product. It is noncombustible, noncorrosive and odor-free. And for blow-in-blanket applications, OPTIMA® offers higher thermal and acoustical properties, installs dry and will not settle.

CertainTeed was instrumental in the development of a Certified Contractor Program for insulation installers, a formal quality assurance program designed to increase the trade contractor's quality and efficiency. Certified by the NAHB Research Center, contractors receive mandatory training and are subject to semi-annual office and job site inspections and audits.

For builders the Certified Contractor Program helps to insure consistent, high-quality installations, prevent construction delays and reduce callbacks. CertainTeed also provides builder sales team training on the program advantages, as well as promotional material for job sites and model homes.

The CertainTeed Building Solutions® program provides new homebuilders with a variety of product, marketing and customer satisfaction benefits.
