A fiberglass-asphalt shingle designed to withstand hurricane-force winds, Hatteras is an 18236-inch shingle. The shingle features a color-blending process and 1-inch shadow lines to give it the depth and dimensionality of slate. The fiberglass base mat is designed for added strength and tear resistance. The product also uses dual sealing strips featuring Certa-Seal Plus modified sealant to keep the shingles sealed to the roof.
