Belden Electronics

October 31, 2002

With Banana Peel composite cables, individual cables are affixed to a center spline, eliminating the need for an outer jacket. With no overall jacket to strip off, the individual data, coaxial and fiber cable components can be identified instantly, and the cables are ready for termination once they're peeled off the spline. The Banana Peel also is smaller than traditional composite cables, improving its bend radius and ease of handling, the company says. The line includes four structured cabling solutions that Belden says are UL-verified to meet Category 5e performance standards.
