FRX fire-retardant wood is made for balconies, stairways, covered walkways and other exte-rior applications. The pressure-treated wood qualifies for a Class 1 flame-spread rating when tested in accordance with ASTM E-84, the company says. It’s offered in Douglas fir, southern pine and western red cedar.
