NCCER Revises Construction Technology Curriculum

New content acquiaints entry-level craftworker with construction skills

Gainesville, Fla. — NCCER has revised both the structure and content of the Contren® Learning Series “Construction Technology” curriculum.

This full-color textbook contains 16 modules compiled from four existing NCCER programs and is now available for purchase.

NCCER worked with subject matter experts representing industry and academia across the country to introduce relevant industry material into the existing books.

“The new Construction Technology curriculum features a combination of modules to acquaint the entry-level craftworker with the foundational skills necessary for a construction career,” said Angela Jonas, NCCER project manager. “This new curriculum includes an introduction to HVAC module as well as a new Residential Electrical Services module in line with the latest NEC® requirements.”

Students successfully completing Construction Technology through an NCCER Accredited Training Sponsor will earn industry-recognized credentials through the NCCER National Registry.
