Several websites that provide useful information and assistance for those in the decking industry have been brought to our attention recently. They run the gamut from information on treated wood to assistance for those looking for PVC decking resources. Here's a look at four helpful decking resources:

• Viance LLC, a firm that provides advanced wood-treatment technologies and services to the global wood-treatment industry, has redesigned its website www.treatedwood.com, adding new features, links and making it easier for visitors to navigate. Features on the site include: project plans for decks, fences, chairs and other outdoor-related projects; a product and brand search engine; and an interactive retailer locator. The website also includes a link to www.treatedwoodalert.com, a site dedicated to informing the market about the differences among treated wood preservatives and the potential risks associated with some preservative systems.
