6. Nothing But Blue Skies

  • Plan: Blue Sky
  • Square footage: 2,147
  • Sales of this plan to date: 52
  • Builder: Neal Communities, Bradenton, Fla.

Bloodgood Sharp Buster Architects (now BSB Design) originally designed the Blue Sky plan, but over the years Neal Communities has modified and renamed it many times. The most recent version was introduced in April 2008.

“What makes this home so special is the value you get for the price,” says David Hunihan, director of sales for Neal Communities. “It’s under 2,200 square feet but has three bedrooms plus a den.” The builder has sold 52 Blue Sky plans to date for an average price of $248,500, including lot and options.

The plan is very open, with an L-shaped dining room/family room configuration, a large kitchen, and a light, bright interior, says Hunihan. “It our Rutenberg Bimini plan. It’s tried and true.”
