The Legacy 800 Belt and its sibling, the 800 Chain, garage door openers are driven by a ½ HPc Power Plus DC motor that operates quietly and at variable speeds for soft start and stop—no herky-jerky operation and loud noise here. The motor has enough muscle to operate heavy garage doors. Both the Legacy 800 Belt and it’s chain-driven cousin are compatible with Car2U and HomeLink in-car universal remote systems. If security is a concern, the integrated CodeDodger Access Security System randomly access code from 4.3 billion combinations each time the remote control is used to prevent thieves nabbing the radio signal that opens the garage door.
